Thank you, women who are mothers! You have sheltered human beings within yourselves in a unique experience of joy and travail. This experience makes you become God's own smile upon the newborn child, the one who guides your child's first steps, who helps it to grow, and who is the anchor as the child makes its way along the journey of life.
Saint Pope John Paul II, Letter to Women
It’s been almost four months since I recorded a full episode of the Letters to Women podcast—I’ve had an incredible maternity leave and our whole crew has been adjusting to life as a family of five. It’s been a full, beautiful, challenging, and good season.
But we’re starting to settle into our rhythms and routines here at the Langr house, and that means I pulled out the podcast equipment from the basement and recorded an episode introducing for something brand new for the show.
I almost walked away from hosting the show (you can hear more about that here) but then realized that recording these conversations with other women is one creative outlet for me where I feel totally alive. It’d be a dishonor to myself (and my family!) to walk away from that.
As a thank you to paying subscribers, you get early (and ad free!) access to the Letters to Women podcast. This introductory episode to the Letters to Mother series won’t go live publicly for another week, but you can tune in today right here in this newsletter.
I’m sharing the introduction to a brand new podcast series, debuting some new intro music for the show, and sharing a few other surprises!
